Updated November 2021: We originally shared this resource in 2020 before COVID-19 vaccinations were available. The CDC has updated the page on celebrating holidays during the COVID-19 pandemic to include information that accounts for the availability of vaccines.
We have received several questions about how to celebrate holidays safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many of our answers, there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. Many factors need to be considered when deciding how and with whom to celebrate. The CDC provides guidance and suggestions on the page linked here. There is information about hosting a gathering, attending a gathering, traveling, and low/moderate/higher risk activities.
