Co-Occurring Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder (DS-ASD)

It is estimated that 16-18% of people with Down syndrome also have autism spectrum disorder. The Down Syndrome-Autism Connection opens in new window is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and resources to increase awareness of the unique challenges caused by co-occurring Down syndrome and autism (DS-ASD). In addition to sharing information about DS-ASD, they provide free online support for families with loved ones with DS-ASD.
