Drs. Chicoine and Dominiak named Chicago Magazine Top Doctors

Congratulations to Dr. Brian Chicoine and Dr. Erin Dominiak who were named Top Doctors for Family Medicine by Chicago Magazine!

Dr. Chicoine has served as the medical director of the Adult Down Syndrome Center since it opened in 1992. Dr. Dominiak has been a physician at the Center since 2007. Both Dr. Chicoine and Dr. Dominiak graduated from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed their Family Medicine residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where they are now on the faculty. Dr. Chicoine jokes:

"Going to medical school at Loyola and completing residency at Lutheran General are not requirements to be a physician at the Center. It just so happens that we both did! The pattern continued when Dr. Hannah Graham joined our practice last year. She also was a medical student at Loyola and resident at Lutheran General."

Dr. Chicoine and Dr. Dominiak have provided medical care for thousands of adolescents and adults with Down syndrome. A family member of a patient with Down syndrome shared:

"It is always a wonderful experience working with everyone at the Adult Down Syndrome Center...Dr. Chicoine is extremely empathetic, grounded, knowledgeable, and caring - that's the short list."

Another family member of a patient with Down syndrome wrote:

"Dr. Dominiak is wonderful. She is professional, courteous, caring, and treats our son with Down syndrome with the utmost respect."

Dr. Chicoine and Dr. Dominiak are listed under Family Medicine on this page of Chicago Magazine's website.
