Challenge of the Day: Make a food swap.
As we have mentioned in other challenges this month, small changes add up! Often, making small changes consistently over time is easier to sustain than making major alterations. One small change we can make today is a food swap. We make a food swap when we pick a healthier alternative for part of a meal or snack. Some examples of food swaps include ordering a side salad instead of fries, having zucchini noodles in place of pasta, eating whole wheat bread instead of white bread, or opting for fresh fruit instead of juice.
