Challenge of the Day: Do 3 things to lighten up your meals.

Small changes add up! There are many simple ways to make our meals and snacks healthier. Often, making small changes consistently over time is easier to sustain than making major alterations. What are three things you can do today to lighten up your meals? Here are some ideas: 

  • Cut back on condiments or dressings. Portion out a serving and then put the bottle/container away to avoid the temptation of taking more.
  • Drink water instead of juice or pop/soda.
  • Fill half your plate with fruits and veggies. Take smaller portions of other parts of the meal.
