We enjoy hearing about the many ways individuals with Down syndrome and their families are staying engaged, busy, and active during this unique time. One opportunity we learned about is the Down Syndrome Pen Pal Program. Participants are paired up with a pen pal and encouraged to send letters or drawings back and forth. The program was started by the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem (DSA of GWS), Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands, and Down Syndrome Association of Delaware. It has grown to include participants from 16 states. 

If you are interested in participating, please e-mail jay@dsagws.org with the name of the individual with Down syndrome, their age, their address, and whether they will be writing/drawing or family members will be writing the letters for them.
