Did you know? Becoming more independent is a goal for many adolescents and adults with Down syndrome.
There are many areas in which an individual with Down syndrome may want to become more independent. It may be self-care tasks such as showering and dressing, planning and going on outings with friends, or gaining skills, such as preparing meals and doing chores, needed to live independently.
