Dating group

The Adult Down Syndrome Center is hosting a virtual social skills group for individuals with Down syndrome who are currently in or want to be in a romantic relationship.

Details

Individuals with Down syndrome ages 12 and older are invited to participate in our 5-week, virtual group to learn skills for dating and having healthy romantic relationships. This group is open to individuals who are currently in or want to be in a romantic relationship. The group will be facilitated by Katie Frank, PhD, OTR/L, occupational therapist, and Brittany Anderson, LCSW, licensed clinical social worker. Topics will include identifying someone to date, communicating with romantic partners, sharing touch and affection, establishing and respecting boundaries, compromising, and more. 

We are offering 2 sessions:

Thursdays, January 9 to February 6, 2025 (3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT)

or

Tuesdays, February 11 to March 11, 2025 (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CT)
