April is Occupational Therapy Month! We are grateful for our wonderful occupational therapist Dr. Katie Frank. “It may be her job, but you can tell she has a passion for it,” said the father of one of Dr. Frank’s patients. Her experience includes treatment and evaluation, as well as facilitating groups for people with Down syndrome, conducting trainings for staff, families, and caregivers, and offering a variety of other educational opportunities at the Adult Down Syndrome Center and across the United States.
As Dr. Frank describes in her article on occupational therapy, occupational therapists (OTs) can help individuals perform a wide variety of expected, needed, or desired activities. The five resources below are just a handful of the resources that Dr. Frank has developed for our Resource Library. The list demonstrates the breadth of areas with which OTs can help.
