Happy St. Patrick’s Day! In addition to wearing green clothing today, we are eating and drinking green light foods and beverages! Green light foods are those that can be eaten every day. They include water, fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and protein sources like lean meats, fish, and beans. Green light foods are part of the stoplight method for healthy eating. It is one way we talk about healthy eating with individuals with Down syndrome. The handouts we use can be found at this link.
