Being physically active is incredibly important for our physical and mental health. Picking a form of physical activity or exercise that we enjoy can make it easier to start or continue being physically active.
In our Healthy Lifestyle group for individuals with Down syndrome, participants learn about and practice physical activity. Participants in our sessions have enjoyed spinning our "wheel of exercises." When the wheel stops spinning, participants are encouraged to complete the exercise listed on the wedge it stops on. We have a lot of fun!
We use a version made for PowerPoint. There are also online versions and apps. You can type in a variety of exercises and then click or tap the "Spin" button to start the wheel.
