Many Down syndrome clinics rely on the support of generous donors.

We are often asked why there are only a handful of clinics for adults with Down syndrome in the United States. Part of the reason is that patient fees (primarily Medicare, Medicaid/public aid, and private insurance) do not cover all the expenses of running a clinic. At the Adult Down Syndrome Center, patient fees cover less than 50 percent of expenses. The support of generous donors makes it possible for many Down syndrome clinics, including ours, to offer services. Thank you to the many individuals who have supported our clinic over the years.
