Orientation Book for People with Alzheimer's Disease

Orientation Book

Orientation book

An orientation book can be used for people with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia to help them remember things about their daily life. You can also add favorite memories.

The book can be individualized. It is best if you take actual photos (rather than online images) and include them in the book. Here are some examples of page headings:

  • A Little About Me...

  • This is where I live.

  • This is my family.

  • This is my staff.

  • These are people I live with.

  • This is my bedroom.

  • This is where I eat my meals.

  • This is my bathroom.

  • This is my daily schedule.

  • This helps me feel safe.

  • I go here during the day.

  • These are things I like to do.

  • These are my pets.

  • These are a few of my favorite things.

  • These are safe places for me.

  • These are some of my favorite memories.
