About the Center

The Adult Down Syndrome Center is a health care clinic in Park Ridge, Illinois, that has served the medical and psychosocial needs of over 6,000 teens and adults with Down syndrome since 1992. We provide patients everything from holistic care and support to education and resources in a compassionate, welcoming environment. We also hold events, participate in community outreach and conduct research.

We rely on philanthropy for many of our programs and services, and to expand and share our resources across the world. Recently, a close friend and loyal supporter agreed to donate $2.75 million if the Center can raise an equal amount in support of the Research and Education Program. We need your help to reach our $5.5 million goal.

History of the Research and Education Initiative

During the more than 25 years we have provided healthcare and services for individuals with Down syndrome and their families, we have seen the impact that research and education can have on improving the lives of people with Down syndrome. In 2012, we committed to expand our research and education efforts, which include providing the resources on this website.
