Happy World Down Syndrome Day! Today (and every day!), we celebrate people with Down syndrome. This year's WDSD theme is "End the stereotypes." Stereotypes can be harmful. The WDSD website writes, "For people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities, stereotypes can stop us from being treated like other people."

All individuals are worthy and deserving of comprehensive and compassionate health care but many people with Down syndrome do not have access to that kind of care. Part of our mission at the Adult Down Syndrome Center is to share information and resources to improve health care and enhance the well-being of people with Down syndrome. That is why we developed our online library with over 500 articles, visuals, webinar recordings, and other resources that are available free of charge.
