Did you know?
Walking and jogging are great ways for individuals with Down syndrome to stay active.
Walking and jogging are two simple ways to incorporate physical activity into our daily schedules and boost our physical and mental health. We have a blast walking, running, and dancing with individuals with Down syndrome at our annual run/walk in June. Since we were unable to host this year's event, we encourage you to participate in our Down syndrome (trisomy 21) physical activity challenge! We challenge YOU to walk, jog, or run 3.21 miles today or in the coming days. If you would like, please share a picture of yourself doing the challenge in the comments of our Facebook post. If you aren't up to 3.21 miles yet, no problem! Consider walking for 21 minutes or walking an extra 321 steps. Whether you count miles, minutes, or steps, we hope you will go for a walk or jog with us today!
