How are you doing? Many individuals with Down syndrome and their families have shared that the recent surge in COVID-19 cases has contributed to increased feelings of stress, frustration, and anger. Most of us can relate to those feelings.
We encourage individuals with Down syndrome we see at our clinic and their families to limit the amount of time spent watching or talking and reading about stressful or upsetting news. We also suggest using one or more of a variety of strategies to manage stress, frustration, and anger. Our Resource Library has several handouts on various strategies. We have compiled a list below.
