Going to the Dentist Social Stories

September 2021 | Pennsylvania ASERT - Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training Collaborative

The social stories linked below are intended to help individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual or developmental disabilities prepare for and feel more comfortable with going to the dentist. The stories are provided by the Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training Collaborative (ASERT), an initiative funded by the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) in Pennsylvania.

The page linked below includes social stories on going to the dentist, getting teeth cleaned, getting x-rays, and getting a cavity filled. There are downloadable PDFs of each story at the bottom of the linked page.
