New in 2022: In partnership with the Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC), the Division of Developmental Disabilities in the Illinois Department of Human Services was awarded a five-year $1.3 million Lifespan Respite Care Enhancement Grant from the Administration on Community Living (ACL). New services that were created as a result include:

Emergency voucher stipends (up to $500) for caregivers in a crisis situation receiving no other state or waiver funding.
